When we went to the marae, we had so much fun weaving, playing and learning about the maori culture. We learnt the marae was a community marae and all are welcome. While things where getting sorted and the adults, including Miss Walker, were learning to weave, us kids where playing Bull tag. Then we got called in and told what we were doing. We all made at least 2 fish and one flower.

your marae visit sounds like fun. i liked the flaxing the most but the stories were really long. i wish we could go to the marae more often. you could send some photos to look at from your marae visit!
